The war in Ukraine affects all humanity; but what can an artist do?

It’s not an easy question, I am not there on the front line risking my life. However, I began to try to make sense of my thoughts and feelings. My work has always concentrated on the plight of victims, the truth, the reconciliation so I began to experiment. The combination of my abstract methods and the Ukrainian flag created a dimension in the work that’s both intriguing and unpredictable, especially the impasto where the blue and yellow of the hand-painted flag merge to create a landscape in stark contrast to the dynamics surrounding it.
